Test control
- MEDsan® SARS-CoV-2 Double Gene RT PCR for sample analysis in combination with the SARS-CoV-2 MEDsan® Transfer Set.
- MEDsan® SARS-CoV-2 Double Gene RT PCR targets two distinct gene regions that are not yet mutated (conserved) in all known
SARS-CoV-2 variants. Therefore, it is very likely that possible future variants will be detected.
Specimen collection: nasopharyngeal, oropharyngeal, combined naso- and oropharyngeal;
Oral/saliva swab, anterior nasal swab and nasal swab of the middle turbinate.
Safe handling: Transfer and extraction solution inactivates the virus within 5 minutes, so there is no risk of infection!
The test kit was validated using the ultraSBMS24 qPCR instrument.
